REAS powered by INTERSCHUTZ

After INTERSCHUTZ is before REAS: This year, the vfdb will again be represented at Italy's leading trade fair for rescue, firefighting, disaster relief and security, REAS powered by INTERSCHUTZ, in Montichiari, Italy. At a joint stand, the vfdb, DFV and Deutsche Messe AG will provide insights into the state of civil hazard prevention in Germany and the work of their institutions from October 7 to 9. At the same time, the German representatives would like to gain insight into problem solutions in Italy. "The Italian civil defense is known for its great experience and high quality," emphasizes vfdb President Dirk Aschenbrenner. Aschenbrenner is this year's patron of REAS together with DFV President Karl-Heinz Banse.

As in previous years, INTERSCHUTZ mascot "Timmy", the Border Collie, will also be present. The Italians got to know him seven years ago at INTERSCHUTZ in Hanover and took him to their hearts. Spontaneously, he and his master were invited to REAS. Similar to INTERSCHUTZ in Hanover, vfdb partners such as "Paulinchen - Initiative für brandverletzte Kinder e.V." and the initiative "Rauchmelder retten Leben" (Smoke Detectors Save Lives) will inform about their work as partners of the vfdb at the REAS in Montichiari. In addition, the German Rescue Robotics Center (DRZ) from Dortmund will present its project. For the first time as an exhibitor at the REAS is also the company BINZ, which is traditionally also represented at INTERSCHUTZ. A high-terrain rescue vehicle, a rescue vehicle with ultraviolet disinfection and an ELW 3 command vehicle will be presented.

The northern Italian trade fair attracts around 23,000 visitors every year and is regarded in the country as a showcase for the industry. The partnership between Centro Fiera di Montichiari (the exhibition center in Montichiari) and Deutsche Messe AG has been in place since 2014. In addition to the alliance, REAS describes the constant exchange of know-how with its German partners as a key success factor.
